      3. Hey Gillian - may want to wait until the gear meeting before you go buy stock in REI ... We have some serious gear mongers in this group and I bet you can borrow a lot!
        : ) Twerp

      4. I volunteer Beth for her famous Blackstone dinner wraps - OMG - I can't remember everything that was in them beside cilantro and chicken - but they were to die for (and she said she would)! Any offers for Sun night? How 'bout we do dinners/bfast together and then plan our own thing for lunch and snacks? I'll take on a group bfast of wild AK blueberry pancakes, maple syrup and sausage. - Rebecca

      5. I don't care what we eat or who sleeps with whom. Just dry and preferably sunny days are all I need. My curling iron is solar powered so that is important. I will make said wraps a like the idea of one meal on ou own for ease. I don't know if headlamps were on the list but always a good idea. Gonna be great. I can go to Rei with anyone who needs too on Friday.

      6. Yo Fellow Yakkers!

Gear list looks awesome! Some things I would include:

        *Duct tape, leatherman, knife.
*Wet ones, wash cloth, camp towel.
*Camelback bladder. Rides well on the kayak deck and makes water always accessible.
*Camp mug, for sure! Nice to drink coffee on that morning paddle! In the sunshine....
*Hammock...? Bring it if ya got it!
        *Whistle on each PFD
*Rhino GPS with FRS. There are a few in the group. Nice to have.

Other than that, the list looks great! Very thorough. I love the menu! I can bring chips for breakfast on day 2.

Jeff & Terri, you guys should be pretty dialed in! Boats are in the backyard, bathed and ready to be loaded! I am very jealous!

Mike & Gil, I have more than one spare sleeping bag you can borrow, we have a tent if you need, and we have no less than about 23 dry bags. Seriously. We also have 2 spare paddles as backups that can ride on the aft deck.

FYI. I think anyone in a drysuit will swelter a miserable death. You will have to swim often to keep your body temperature below 100. We have paddle jackets and pants, but often they are too warm. Definitely NO cotton anything! Well, maybe the bandana. And the washcloth. That would be okay....

Oh! And I bring a pillow. Might as well live in luxury! And I never leave my down jacket at home! Especially on a trip like this! Although synthetic is better, but only if it rains, which will not be the case.... And of course, we have a few spares of those too. any takers? Better speak up before Beth gets home and lays claim to her gear!

        "Rentals Available."

        Hahahaa!

Okay, I better go to bed, the wall is nearing! Can't believe I left HKG at 0600. Today. Whew!

        Goodnight! ~Al.
